Yes, the CAM Slim Gen2 allows 1080P HD real-time viewing through the mobile app, enabling you to monitor your home anytime, anywhere.
2. How can I use two-way audio with the camera?
The camera has a built-in microphone and speaker. You can talk remotely by opening the voice button in the app while viewing the live feed.
3. Can I share the camera with my family?
Yes. You can share the camera with your family members through the app.
4. What types of push notifications does the camera support?
The camera supports motion detection alerts. When motion is detected, a notification will be pushed to your app in real-time for free.
5. Does the CAM Slim Gen2 support 5GHz Wi-Fi?
No. The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. Please make sure your router has the 2.4GHz band enabled.
6. Does the camera support local or cloud storage?
Yes. The CAM-S2 supports local storage via a microSD card (128GB MAX) and is also compatible with cloud storage services.
7. Can multiple users view the camera feed at the same time?
Yes. The CAM-S2 supports 2 user access at the same time, allowing family members to monitor together.
8. What is the monitoring range of the camera?
The effective monitoring distance of the camera is approximately 8 to 10 meters (19 to 26 feet). Within this range, it can clearly capture people and activities, making it suitable for typical indoor security monitoring.
Troubleshooting
1. The camera cannot connect to Wi-Fi
Ensure the camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (5GHz is not supported).
Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same 2.4GHz network.
Check that the Wi-Fi signal is strong and that the camera is not too far from the router.
If the issue persists, reset the camera and try pairing again.
2. Video loads slowly or lags
Make sure the camera is within good range of the Wi-Fi router with minimal obstruction.
Switch to a lower resolution (e.g., SD mode) in the app settings.
Check if your home internet bandwidth is under heavy load.
3. No sound from the microphone or speaker
Ensure the app has permission to access the microphone.
Check if the camera is muted or if the volume is too low.
Avoid placing the camera too close to your phone to prevent audio feedback or howling.
4. The camera cannot detect a microSD card
Use a reliable brand microSD card, Class 10 or higher, with a capacity between 8GB and 128GB.
Ensure the SD card is properly inserted and formatted.
Check the storage status in the app. If not recognized, try reinserting or replacing the card.
5. Night vision is not working
Make sure night mode is set to "Auto" or "On" in the app.
Avoid direct bright light sources pointed at the camera.
If the problem persists, check if the infrared LEDs are obstructed or damaged.
6. No push notifications on the app
Confirm that motion detection is enabled in the app.
Ensure the app has notification permissions enabled on your phone.
