Introduction
Product Name |
SONOFF MINI Extreme Wi-Fi Smart Switch |
Product Model |
MINI Extreme is compact and tiny enough to be installed in the mounted box, and it supports loads of up to 10A, enabling you to transform your ordinary switch into a smart switch. Safe and smart, it allows you to set smart scenes with other smart devices to automate your home.
Highlights
- Super Tiny Size: Its compact size allows it to be installed in various mounting boxes, including the smallest European standard.
- Ultra-fast ESP32 Chip: With its speedy dual-core performance and ample memory, it provides long-lasting and stable operation.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: No hub is required. Connect directly to your home Wi-Fi network for full control of your lights and appliances from anywhere via the app.
- External Switch Control: Easily connect to the momentary switch, door exit switch, SPDT switch, latching switch, and even dry contact sensors.
- Detach Relay Mode: MINIR4 has 'detach relay' mode, which means the states of external switches and the relay are separated, so operating the external switch button won't affect the relay state.
Applications
- Smart Lighting Control
Upgrade traditional wall switches for lights or ceiling lamps into smart switches. Control lighting remotely via app, voice assistant, or automation scenes.
- Home Appliance Automation
Easily convert on/off control of small home appliances (e.g., fans, coffee makers) into smart, scheduled, or remotely managed devices. Supports up to 10A load.
- Home Automation Through Smart Scenes
Create intelligent linkages with sensors, plugs, or other smart devices—for example, turn on hallway lights automatically when motion is detected at night.

FAQ
1. What is the maximum load supported by MINIR4? What devices can it control?
MINIR4 supports up to 10A of resistive load (e.g., lights, heaters, etc.). Avoid connecting inductive loads (e.g., motors) that exceed the rated power.
2. Where can I install the MINIR4? Is it waterproof?
MINIR4 is compact and designed to fit inside most wall mounting boxes (EU/US standard 86 type). However, it is not waterproof and should not be used in humid or outdoor environments without proper protection.
3. Can I keep using my existing wall switch with MINIR4?
Yes. MINIR4 supports two-way control and can be connected to traditional wall switches for local manual operation.
4. Which voice assistants are supported?
MINIR4 works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing you to turn connected devices on/off using voice commands.
5. Does it support timers and automation scenes?
Yes. You can use the eWeLink app to set timers, countdowns, loop schedules, and create smart scenes with other devices.
Troubleshooting
1. Cannot pair with Wi-Fi
Make sure the device is in pairing mode.
Make sure your mobile device and MINIR4 are on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
2. MINIR4 is paired but cannot be controlled remotely
Check if the device is powered on and the LED is steadily lit (indicating a successful connection).
Ensure your phone has internet access.
Try rebooting the router and the device or re-pairing it via the app.
3. MINIR4 shows offline in the app
Ensure the device has not lost power.
Check Wi-Fi coverage and avoid placing the device too far from the router.
Try rebooting or resetting the device if the issue persists.
4. The wall switch does not respond
Check if the wiring to S1/S2 terminals is correct and securely connected.
Make sure the wiring length of the external switch connection does not exceed 20m.
If using a two-way switch setup, configure the wiring and logic accordingly.
5. MINIR4 reboots or disconnects unexpectedly
Make sure the connected load does not exceed 10A.
Check for loose wiring, short circuits, or unstable voltage.
Use a circuit breaker or fuse for added safety.
If frequent disconnections occur, consider relocating the device or using a Wi-Fi extender.
