FAQ
1. What types of loads are supported by the DUALR3 Lite?
DUALR3 Lite supports various types of electrical loads, including:
Lighting (incandescent, LED, etc.)
Motorized curtains/shutter motors (within rated capacity)
2. How many modes does it support, and what are the main application scenarios for each mode?
DUALR3 Lite supports three working modes:
- Switch Mode: Independently controls two separate loads.
- Motor Mode: Controls motor forward/reverse for curtain or shutter applications.
You can switch modes via the eWeLink app.
3. Does it support two-way/mechanical wall switches?
Yes, DUALR3 Lite supports external traditional wall switches, including SPST (single-pole single-throw) or two-way switches for local manual control.
4. What is the maximum length of the external switch cable?
It is recommended not to exceed 30 meters. If the cable is too long, it may be more susceptible to environmental interference, which could affect the device’s ability to turn on and off reliably.
5. My home uses a single live wire switch. Can it be connected to the DUALR3 Lite?
No, the DUALR3 Lite requires both a live wire and a neutral wire for proper operation. It cannot function with a single live wire setup.
Troubleshooting
1. Cannot pair with Wi-Fi
Make sure the device is in pairing mode.
Make sure your mobile device and DUALR3 are on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
2. DUALR3 Lite is paired but cannot be controlled remotely
Check if the device is powered on and the LED is steadily lit (indicating a successful connection).
Ensure your phone has internet access.
Try rebooting the router and the device or re-pairing it via the app.
3. DUALR3 Lite shows offline in the app
Ensure the device has not lost power.
Check Wi-Fi coverage and avoid placing the device too far from the router.
Try rebooting or resetting the device if the issue persists.
4. The wall switch does not respond
Check if the wiring to S1/S2 terminals is correct and securely connected.
Make sure the wiring length of the external switch connection does not exceed 30m.
If using a two-way switch setup, configure the wiring and logic accordingly.
5. In motor mode, percentage control is unavailable.
Please confirm whether the motor has been calibrated. If the device has not completed motor calibration, please go to Working Mode >> Motor >> Manual Calibration to complete the calibration process.
