Wiring Diagrams

WARNING:

  • Please install and maintain the device by a professional electrician. To avoid an electric shock hazard, do not operate any connection or contact the terminal connector while the device is powered on!
  • It is prohibited to connect S1 and S2 terminals to the neutral or ground wire in order to avoid damaging the equipment and causing danger.
  • Make sure all wires are connected correctly.
  • Supported switches are rocker switches and push buttons, and the factory default supports rocker switches.
  • Method of changing the switch type: short-press the button 3 times until the green indicator flashes 3 times quickly, now you have changed the switch type successfully.

Add Device

eWeLink Platform

Download the eWeLink App & Add SONOFF Zigbee Gateway.

Open eWeLink to scan the QR code on the Quick Guide or the device itself to add the device.

Enter "Scan" .

 

Scan the QR code on the device.

 

Select “Add Device".

 

Power on the device.

 

Long-press the button for 5 seconds.

 

The LED indicator flashes slowly for 180s.

 

Select Zigbee gateway.

 

Wait until the addition is done.

1. Does ZBMINIR2 require a neutral wire?

Yes. ZBMINIR2 requires a neutral wire for installation. Please make sure your switch box has both live and neutral wires available.

2. Does ZBMINIR2 require a Zigbee gateway?

Yes. ZBMINIR2 requires a Zigbee gateway for realizing smart control.

3. What's the maximum load ZBMINIR2 can support?

ZBMINIR2 supports a maximum load of 10A, suitable for most household lighting and small appliances. Always ensure the connected device is within the rated capacity.

4. Can ZBMINIR2 work with voice assistants?

Yes. When the ZBMINIR2 was added to the compatible SONOFF hub, and after binding a third-party account in the eWeLink app, voice control through a smart speaker will be enabled.

5. Can I use ZBMINIR2 with my existing wall switch?

Absolutely! ZBMINIR2 is designed to retrofit behind your existing wall switch, allowing manual and smart control at the same time.

6. What is the repeater function?

ZBMINIR2 functions as a Zigbee signal repeater, extending the range and improving the stability of your Zigbee network when powered on and connected.

Troubleshooting

1. Device not pairing with Zigbee hub

Ensure the device is powered on and wired correctly.

Long-press the pairing button until the LED indicator starts blinking rapidly.

Ensure your hub is compatible and in pairing mode and within 2 meters of the device during initial pairing.

Try restarting your hub and retry the pairing process.

2. ZBMINIR2 shows offline or unresponsive

Check the power supply and ensure the device is powered.

Make sure your Zigbee hub is online and within signal range.

Try rebooting the hub or power-cycling the ZBMINIR2.

If the issue persists, repair the device.

3. Switch not controlling the load

Ensure Live In, Live Out, and Neutral are properly connected.

Make sure the connected device does not exceed the 10A rating.

If using a wall switch, ensure it's functioning properly and wired correctly.

4. The Zigbee signal is still weak in some areas.

Try relocating ZBMINIR2 to a central or elevated position.

Avoid placement near metal surfaces or dense walls.

Add more Zigbee routers to create a mesh network.
