Simply pull out the insulating sheet at the back of the device to use it.
Add Device
eWeLink Platform
Download the eWeLink App & Add SONOFF eWeLink-Remote Gateway.
Open eWeLink to scan the QR code on the Quick Guide or the device itself to add the device.

1. What is the eWeLink-Remote control？
eWeLink-Remote Control is a unique new remote control solution for SONOFF devices. It provides a more convenient, more reliable, and longer-distance control way for your home appliances.

2. Is R5 supported on third-party platforms?
R5/R5W requires a platform that supports eWeLink-Remote control. Currently, only the eWeLink platform is supported.
3. Will the original scene settings be retained after removing and re-adding the R5?
No. Similarly, if you delete the gateway that added R5 in the app, R5 will also be removed along with all its associated scene settings. R5/R5W requires a platform that supports eWeLink-Remote control. Currently, only the eWeLink platform is supported.
Troubleshootin
- Why does the button only respond after being pressed many times, with a very low success rate, making it unusable?
This issue may be caused by one of the following:
- The scene may be configured incorrectly. If so, please delete the scene and set it up again.
- The R5 may have low battery. If the battery level is low, try replacing the battery.
- There may be an issue with the Mini Smart Gateway. Try restarting the gateway by unplugging and plugging it back in, or try re-adding the R5 to the gateway.
- Why the LED indicator on the R5 does not blink consistently when pressed, and long-press scenes fail to trigger?
Please check whether the battery is depleted or if there is poor contact with the battery.
