FAQ

  1. What type of battery does the SNZB-02LD use, and how long does it last?
The SNZB-02LD comes with a pre-installed CR2477 battery. Simply remove the insulation tab to activate it. The battery life depends on usage and report configuration settings.
  2. How often does the SNZB-02LD update data in the app?
When the SNZB-02LD detects a temperature change exceeding the configured threshold, it will immediately update the data in the app. If no threshold is triggered, it will update at least once every hour. You can customize the thresholds and maximum reporting interval in the Report Configuration section of the eWeLink app.
  3. Why is the data on the device screen different from what's shown in the app?
This could be due to a network delay, preventing the app from displaying the most recent data. Alternatively, if the temperature hasn't exceeded the reporting threshold, the app may not have refreshed with the latest data yet.
  4. What level of protection does IP65 waterproofing provide?
The IP65 waterproof conditions are as follows:
① Using a standard 6.3mm inner diameter test nozzle with a flow rate of 12.5 liters per minute, water is sprayed onto the casing from all feasible directions.
② Actual water jet size: Approximately 40mm in diameter at a distance of 2.5 meters from the nozzle.
③ Each square meter of the casing's surface area may be sprayed for 1 minute, with a minimum test duration of 3 minutes.
  5. Can the device be used outdoors?
The sensor has IP65 protection, resisting low-pressure water jets from any direction. It can be used in water-splashed or humid environments, including sheltered outdoor areas. For extreme weather (e.g., heavy rain, floods), additional protection or indoor storage is recommended.

Troubleshooting

  1. The Zigbee signal is unstable and the device frequently goes offline?
If your device often goes offline, it could be due to the long distance between the device and the gateway (we recommend no more than 50 meters through walls), or obstacles/interference blocking the signal. Try adjusting the placement of your device and gateway, or use additional Zigbee router devices to strengthen your Zigbee network coverage.
  2. Missing features after pairing with the eWeLink app?
Please ensure both your Zigbee gateway and the eWeLink app are updated to the latest version. If the device was added using an outdated gateway firmware, remove the device, update the Zigbee gateway, and then re-add the device.
  3. Device not working properly in low-temperature environments?
In environments approaching extremely low temperatures (e.g., -20℃ / -4℉), the device may encounter:
① Greater deviation in temperature readings (up to ±0.7℃ / ±1.3℉)
    ② Significant battery capacity drop
③ These effects will improve as the ambient temperature rises. However, please note that due to battery characteristics, the battery capacity may not fully recover.

SNZB-02LD 1:1 Scale Replica Model

This is a 1:1 scale replica model of the SONOFF SNZB-02LD smart temperature sensor / Smart Thermometer (Probe Version). The model accurately reproduces:

  • The full outer dimensions of the device
  • The screen size and position
  • The overall casing curvature and contour
  • Screw hole locations and spacing

It’s designed to help users verify physical dimensions before purchasing or installing the actual sensor, and to support the development of custom accessories and mounts. The model does not include internal features, buttons, or LED indicators — it is a shell-only mockup purely for size and fit evaluation.
