📌 How SONOFF Devices Work with Google Home (Cloud Integration)

Introduction

SONOFF devices can be easily integrated into the Google Home ecosystem via cloud-to-cloud connection, enabling voice control through Google Assistant, routine automation, and remote control via the Google Home app.

Unlike Matter integrations that rely on local protocols, SONOFF's native Google Home support is powered by eWeLink cloud, making it compatible with a wide range of SONOFF devices—including previous models and Wi-Fi products without Matter support.

This article explains how to link your SONOFF account to Google Home, add supported devices, and get started with Google voice commands and automations.

Preparation

Before starting, ensure the following:

  • SONOFF devices paired with the eWeLink app
  • A smartphone with the Google Home app installed
  • A Google Account and Google Assistant-enabled speaker (e.g., Nest Mini or Android phone)

Note: Your SONOFF device should be online and connected to Wi-Fi before linking accounts.
