FAQ
1. Does ZBMINIL2 support installation without a neutral wire?
Yes. ZBMINIL2 is designed to work without a neutral wire, making it ideal for retrofit installations in most standard wall switch boxes.
2. What is the maximum load supported by ZBMINIL2?
ZBMINIL2 is rated for 6A. Do not connect devices that exceed this rating.
3. What types of loads can it control?
It is suitable for most resistive loads like LED lights, incandescent bulbs, and tungsten lamps.
4. Can I use a wall switch to control the light manually?
Yes. You can connect a mechanical wall switch to the S1/S2 terminals, enabling manual control alongside smart control.
5. Does it support timers and automation?
Yes. Once paired with a Zigbee hub, you can set schedules, countdowns, and smart scenes/automation rules.
6. Do I need to connect a flash suppression module (anti-flicker device)?
No. ZBMINIL2 does not support external flash suppression modules. Connecting one may damage the device.
7. Can ZBMINIL2 work as a Zigbee router/repeater (relay device)?
No. ZBMINIL2 is designed as a Zigbee end device, not a router.
To minimize power consumption and prevent light flickering, it uses a low-power design and does not relay Zigbee signals to other devices.
To extend Zigbee network range, consider using Zigbee router devices such as ZBMicro.
Troubleshooting
1. Device not pairing with Zigbee hub
Ensure the device is powered on and wired correctly.
Long-press the pairing button until the LED indicator starts blinking rapidly.
Ensure your hub is compatible and in pairing mode and within 2 meters of the device during initial pairing.
Try restarting your hub and retry the pairing process.
2. ZBMINIL2 shows offline or unresponsive
Check the power supply and ensure the device is powered.
Make sure your Zigbee hub is online and within signal range.
Try rebooting the hub or power-cycling the ZBMINIL2.
3. Switch not controlling the load
Ensure Live In and Live Out are properly connected.
Make sure the connected device does not exceed the 6A rating.
If using a wall switch, ensure it's functioning properly and wired correctly.
4. The Zigbee signal is still weak in some areas.
Try relocating ZBMINIL2 to a central or elevated position.
Avoid placement near metal surfaces or dense walls.
Add more Zigbee routers to create a mesh network.
