Wiring Diagrams

WARNING:

  • To ensure the safety of your electrical installation, it's essential either a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or a Residual Current operated Cicuit-breaker with Integral Overcurrent protection(RCBO) with an electrical rating of 10A that meets national safety standards has been installed before the MINI-D. An overcurrent protection device with a rated current of 3A needs to be used in the control circuit of the MINI-D.
  • This device cannot be powered by both AC and DC power simultaneously.
  • Make sure all wires are connected correctly.
  • DC low-power load wiring

  • Dry contact wiring

Notice:

  • Applicable to devices that can be controlled via dry contact.
  • To ensure compatibility with the garage door motor, please short-circuit the terminals of the motor that were originally used to connect to the wall switch ( the short-circuiting process is safe, so don't worry). If the garage door motor operates after short-circuiting, it is compatible; if the motor does not operate, it is not compatible.

FAQ

  1. What is MINI-D?

MINI-D is a Wi-Fi-enabled dry contact smart switch designed to control motors, garage doors, and other dry contact input devices. It supports remote control, voice control, and more via a mobile app.

  1. What type of power supply does MINI-D support?

MINI-D supports both AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) power inputs. Please refer to the product specifications for the exact voltage ranges. Note: Do not connect AC and DC power sources at the same time.

  1. What types of loads are supported by the MINI-D output terminal?

Dry-contact input devices: Such as garage door motors and boilers in temperature control systems, which are triggered by a dry contact signal.

Low-power DC devices: Including small DC motors or solenoid valves, with a maximum load of 8W.

Note: The output terminal of the MINI-D supports only DC loads. AC loads are not supported and should not be connected under any circumstances.

  1. Can I use MINI-D with other platforms like Apple HomeKit or SmartThings?

Yes, if those platforms support the Matter protocol. Please refer to the "Key Features >> Matter Platform" section for specific compatibility and feature limitations.

Troubleshooting

  1. Cannot connect to the Wi-Fi network?

Check Wi-Fi signal: Ensure the Wi-Fi signal is strong and the device is not too far from the router.

Verify network settings: Make sure you're using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as MINI-D only supports the 2.4GHz band.

Restart the device and router: Power cycle the device, wait a few seconds, and reconnect. Restart the router to ensure there is no interference.

  1. Cannot pair with the eWeLink app?

Ensure pairing mode is activated: Ensure the device is in pairing mode (indicator light flashing).

Check eWeLink account: Ensure you're logged into the correct eWeLink account and that the app is up to date.

Incorrect Wi-Fi password: Double-check the Wi-Fi password for accuracy and ensure there are no special characters or spaces.

Device too far from router: Ensure the device is within range of a strong Wi-Fi signal to avoid interference.

  1. Device not compatible with other Matter platforms

Check Matter support: Ensure the smart platform you're connecting to (e.g., Apple HomeKit, SmartThings) supports the Matter protocol, and that MINI-D is running the latest firmware.

Ensure stable network connection: The Matter protocol requires a stable network connection between the devices and platforms.

  1. Device is slow to respond or unstable

Network latency: Remote or voice control might experience latency due to network issues. Try moving closer to the router or optimizing the Wi-Fi signal.

Check for available firmware updates, and update the device to resolve any issues.
